Prof. Simon at ESHRE Microbiome Course

Professor Carlos Simon recently participated in the ESHRE Campus Course on the Microbiome in Reproduction, held in Stockholm on May 2nd and 3rd, 2024. This course focused on the growing understanding of how the microbiome, the trillions of bacteria living in and on our bodies, impacts fertility, pregnancy, and even neonatal health.

The ESHRE course offered a deep dive into this exciting field, examining how the microbiome interacts with reproductive processes. Participants gained insights into new techniques for analyzing the microbiome, diagnosing imbalances, and potentially treating these issues to improve reproductive health.

Professor Simon contributed to the event with a lecture on Friday, May 3rd, titled “The receptive endometrium: What role do microbes play?”.
