Bringing women’s health research closer to the public at European Researchers’ Night

On September 25, the Carlos Simon Foundation participated in European Researchers’ Night at the Jardines de Viveros in Valencia, with activities designed to bring biomedical research and reproductive health closer to people of all ages.

Throughout the day, our team welcomed children and families to a series of hands-on activities explaining some of the processes involved in human reproduction and women’s health in a visual and accessible way.

The event provided an opportunity to take concepts usually studied in the laboratory into a public setting, encouraging questions, participation, and direct interaction with researchers and other professionals working in the field.

Researchers and staff from the Foundation took part as volunteers during both the morning and afternoon sessions, guiding visitors through the different activities.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our workshops and all the volunteers who contributed throughout the day. We also thank INCLIVA for inviting us to participate once again and for coordinating the event.

Taking part in initiatives such as European Researchers’ Night is part of the Foundation’s commitment to science communication and to making knowledge about women’s health more accessible to society.
