The Carlos Simon Foundation was proud to participate in the Society for Reproductive Investigation (SRI) Annual Meeting 2025 in Charlotte, USA, contributing to discussions across reproductive biology, preeclampsia, gynecologic oncology, and microbiome research.
On Thursday, March 27th, Dr. Aymara Mas moderated the Gynecology I session, which focused on endometriosis and endometrial disorders.
The following day, March 28th, Dr. Maria Pardo-Figuerez gave an oral presentation titled “Human blastocyst invasion in a 3D in vitro endometrial model.”
On March 29th, Paula Punzón Jiménez presented her oral talk, “Epithelial heterogeneity at single-cell resolution of high-grade serous ovarian cancer supports its dual origin,” and Dr. Nerea Castillo Marco presented “First trimester molecular signature of early-onset preeclampsia in plasma cell-free RNA based on decidualization resistance.”
During Poster Session III, Dr. MarĂa Pardo shared research on how the endometrial microbiome influences gene expression during the window of implantation, and Paula PunzĂłn presented a comparative single-nuclei study on leiomyoma and leiomyosarcoma.
The meeting concluded with Dr. MarĂa Pardo receiving a President’s Presenter Award for her abstract on blastocyst invasion.
